Sporting Queen City (SQC)
Sporting Queen City (SQC) is an all girls soccer club (U13 to U18) located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is founded on the principle of providing players an opportunity to further their soccer careers by promoting their skill, talent, leadership and work ethics to the next level. It will serve as an opportunity to those that want to play at the high school level and for those that are also interested in examining the possibility of playing in college and/or professionally.
SQC plays in several high competitive leagues, including GLC, OSSL, NPL & Buckeye State. We attend several showcases throughout the season starting in November and lasting through May.
Player Evaluations/Tryouts
New this year, Ohio Soccer Association (OSA) is allowing new players to attend a training session or two for their player evaluation. We will have roster spots for our 2006, 2007 and 2008 teams for the 2022/2023 season. If you are interested in being evaluated for one of our teams, please click on the registration button (to the right). Someone will be in contact you shortly to set something up.
We will have supplemental tryouts October 24 – November 6. Please take time to register using the button to the right to hold your spot.

Frequently Asked Questions
When will training start?
Training will begin a few weeks after high school season ends, around the end of October, first of November; two nights a week until first of December. Trainings will start back up in mid-January.
Who will the team play?
SQC will play in local and regional competitive leagues against some of the areas top teams.
How much travel is involved?
Our elite teams (2004 and 2005) will travel to various showcases including Indy, Raleigh, NC and possible Disney. Our 2006 team will travel to Canton, OH and Indy. League games and other showcases will be within the Ohio South Region (Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati).
Can my daughter participate in another sport?
We still allow the kids to participate in another sport during the winter season (basketball, swim team, etc). We do ask that if the child does participate in a Spring sport (track, LAX, etc), we ask that soccer is their top priority.
How many are on the roster and will there be a defined “A” and “B” team?
For the 2004 and 2005 teams, there are two defined rosters, Elite and Premier, made up of 16-18 players; The 2006 team will roster between 24-26 players and will rotate the girls between games.
How many games and showcases will the girls play?
Teams will play in two or three different leagues depending on the age group and will participate in at least five showcases allowing more playing time for each player.
Who will train the team?
We have licensed trainers that will train the team and handle game management (coaching during games).
What is the cost to play SQC?
The cost will be approximately $1600. Payment plans will be available. The cost includes all trainings, games, showcases, field rentals, league fees, ref fees, etc. The only other cost would be the uniform.
